1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the World Humanitarian Aid website and services, including making donations, purchasing event tickets, or activating a subscription, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our platform or services. Your continued use of the WHAid platform following any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and World Humanitarian Aid. They apply to all users of the platform, including donors, subscribers, event attendees, and visitors.
2. About WHAid
World Humanitarian Aid (referred to throughout these Terms as "WHAid", "we", "us", or "our") is an independent charitable organisation. We are not funded by any government, public authority, or political body. Our operations are funded entirely by voluntary donations from members of the public, subscriber fees, and proceeds from charitable events.
All funds raised through the WHAid platform go directly to charitable operations. We do not operate with a large administrative overhead and we do not employ celebrity spokespeople or pay for commercial advertising campaigns. Our work is conducted by a small, focused team committed to delivering direct relief to people in crisis.
As an independent charity, WHAid operates under applicable charity law and financial regulations. We comply fully with anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and know your customer (KYC) requirements.
3. Eligibility
To use the WHAid platform and make donations or purchases, you must:
- a.Be at least 18 years of age. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If we discover that an account has been created by a person under 18, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate that account immediately.
- b.Provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering an account, making a donation, or purchasing a ticket. You must not provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information at any stage.
- c.Have the legal right to donate the funds you are donating. By making a donation, you confirm that the funds are from a legitimate source and that you are legally entitled to donate them. See Section 9 (AML and CTF Compliance) for further detail.
- d.Not be subject to any sanctions, asset freezing orders, or similar legal restrictions that would prohibit you from making financial transfers.
4. Account Registration and Security
To access certain features of the WHAid platform, including making donations, purchasing tickets, and activating a subscription, you must create an account.
4.1 Registration Requirements
You must provide your full legal name, a valid email address, and a password when registering. You agree that all information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date. You must not register using a false identity or on behalf of another person without their consent.
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not share your password with any other person. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it. If you believe your account has been compromised, you must notify us immediately.
4.3 One Account Per Person
Each individual may hold only one WHAid account. Creating multiple accounts is a prohibited use of the platform and may result in all associated accounts being permanently suspended.
4.4 Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, including where we have reason to believe that an account is being used in breach of these Terms, for fraudulent purposes, or in a manner that raises concerns under our AML or CTF obligations. Account termination does not extinguish your legal obligations or ours under applicable law.
5. Donations and Payments
WHAid accepts one-time donations and processes payments for event tickets and subscriptions through third-party payment processors. By making a payment, you agree to the following terms.
5.1 Donation Processing and Verification
When you make a donation, we collect and retain your billing name, billing country, and a payment reference for compliance purposes. We verify your account and payment details at the time of transaction. If you update your payment method or account information, we reserve the right to re-verify those details before processing future transactions. For certain donations, we may contact your bank or payment provider directly to verify the source of funds. The transaction will be processed, but verification may occur concurrently or subsequently. By donating, you consent to this process.
5.2 Donation Finality
All donations made through the WHAid platform are final and non-refundable, except where we determine at our sole discretion that a refund is appropriate, or where required by applicable consumer protection law. Donations are gifts to WHAid and do not entitle the donor to any good or service in return, unless a specific arrangement is stated (for example, a subscription or event ticket).
5.3 Minimum and Maximum Donations
We reserve the right to set minimum and maximum donation limits at our discretion. For donations above certain thresholds, we may be required under AML regulations to conduct additional due diligence before accepting or processing the donation. See Section 9 and Section 10 for further detail.
5.4 Payment Failures
If a payment fails, we will notify you. We accept no liability for any fees or charges imposed by your bank or card issuer in connection with a failed or declined transaction.
6. Subscription Service
WHAid offers a monthly subscription service at a fee of $9.99 per month (or the equivalent in your local currency where applicable). By subscribing, you agree to the following terms.
6.1 Subscriber Benefits
Active subscribers receive the following benefits:
- -A 15% discount on all paid event tickets, applied automatically at checkout
- -Early access to event ticket releases, typically 3 or more days before general availability
- -Eligibility for the monthly VIP programme (see Section 7)
- -Access to monthly impact reports
6.2 Billing
Your subscription fee is billed monthly from the date you activate your subscription. Billing is automatic and recurring. You authorise WHAid to charge your payment method on the same date each month until you cancel.
6.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full subscriber benefits until the end of the paid period. No partial refund is issued for the remaining days of a billing period in which you cancel.
6.4 No Refund for Current Billing Period
Upon cancellation, you will not receive a refund for any portion of the subscription fee already charged for the current billing period. Benefits remain active through the final day of that period.
7. VIP Programme
Each month, WHAid selects one active subscriber as VIP of the month. The selected subscriber receives a $10,000 donation made by WHAid to a charity of their choice.
7.1 Eligibility for Selection
Only active subscribers are eligible for VIP selection. Subscribers who have previously been selected may be excluded from future selections at WHAid's discretion in order to give others the opportunity to be chosen.
7.2 Selection Process
VIP selection is made monthly at WHAid's sole discretion. No subscriber is entitled to selection. There is no guaranteed timeline, no points system, and no ranking by donation amount or duration of subscription. WHAid accepts no obligation to select any particular subscriber and is not required to give reasons for its selection decisions.
7.3 The Charity Donation
Upon selection, the VIP will be contacted by WHAid to confirm the charity to which the $10,000 donation will be directed. The chosen charity must be a registered and legitimate charitable organisation. WHAid reserves the right to decline to donate to any charity that does not meet our due diligence requirements, and to request the VIP nominate an alternative charity in such cases.
7.4 Publication
The name of the selected VIP and the charity they nominated will be featured on the WHAid website for the duration of that month. By accepting VIP selection, you consent to your name and charity selection being published in this way.
8. Event Tickets
WHAid organises charitable events for which tickets may be sold. The following terms apply to all event ticket purchases.
8.1 Non-Refundable Tickets
Event tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased, except in the circumstances set out in clause 8.2. This applies regardless of whether you are able to attend the event.
8.2 Refunds for Cancelled Events
If WHAid cancels an event, you will receive a full refund of your ticket price. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. WHAid accepts no further liability beyond the face value of the ticket in the event of cancellation, including for travel, accommodation, or other costs you may have incurred in connection with the event.
8.3 Subscriber Discount
Active subscribers receive a 15% discount on all paid event tickets. The discount is applied automatically at checkout when you are logged in with an active subscription. The discount applies to the ticket face value only and cannot be combined with any other offer or discount.
8.4 Event Changes
WHAid reserves the right to change event details including date, time, venue, and programme without prior notice. Where a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify ticket holders. Material changes do not automatically entitle ticket holders to a refund unless the event is cancelled entirely.
9. Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Compliance
WHAid takes its legal obligations under anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) legislation extremely seriously. The following terms reflect our statutory duties and apply to all donors and users of the platform.
9.1 Legal Compliance
We comply with all applicable AML and CTF laws and regulations. This includes maintaining policies and procedures designed to detect and prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime. Our AML and CTF framework is reviewed regularly and updated in line with changes in law and regulatory guidance.
9.2 Donor Due Diligence
We conduct due diligence on donors and transactions in accordance with our legal obligations. This may include verifying your identity, the source of your funds, and the legitimacy of the transaction. The level of due diligence applied may be proportionate to the value and nature of the donation.
9.3 Identity Verification for Large Donations
For donations above certain thresholds, we may request that you provide identity documents, including a government-issued photo identification and proof of address, before we accept or process your donation. We will notify you if identity verification is required. Your donation may be held pending satisfactory completion of this process.
9.4 Right to Refuse or Delay Donations
We reserve the right to refuse, delay, or reverse any donation at any time, without prior notice, where we have reasonable grounds to suspect that the donation may be connected to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or other prohibited activity. We are not required to give reasons for refusing or delaying a donation where doing so would compromise a lawful investigation or regulatory requirement.
9.5 Reporting Suspicious Activity
We are legally required to report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities, including financial intelligence units and law enforcement agencies, where we have reasonable grounds to suspect money laundering or terrorist financing. Such reports may be made without prior notice to you and without your consent. We may be prohibited by law from informing you that a report has been made.
9.6 Record Keeping
We maintain records of all transactions and donor information for a minimum of seven years from the date of the relevant transaction, as required by AML legislation. These records are retained regardless of account status or any request for erasure of personal data.
9.7 Donor Acknowledgement
By making a donation through the WHAid platform, you confirm and warrant that:
- i.The funds you are donating are from a legitimate source and are entirely from lawful activity.
- ii.You are not acting on behalf of, or for the benefit of, any person or entity subject to sanctions, asset freezing orders, or terrorism-related designations.
- iii.The donation is not intended to facilitate, conceal, or disguise the proceeds of any criminal activity.
- iv.You consent to WHAid conducting due diligence checks, including contacting your payment provider or bank, as part of our compliance obligations.
10. Know Your Customer (KYC)
WHAid operates a Know Your Customer programme in compliance with applicable financial regulations. The following provisions apply to all users.
10.1 Identity Verification
We may require you to verify your identity at any stage of your use of the platform, including at account registration, before processing a donation, or at any point where we consider verification necessary for compliance purposes. Failure to provide the requested information may result in your transaction being refused or your account being suspended.
10.2 Enhanced Due Diligence for High-Value Donors
For donors making high-value donations, we apply enhanced due diligence procedures. This may include requesting certified identity documents, proof of the source of funds, evidence of the source of wealth, and details of the purpose of the donation. We will contact you directly if enhanced due diligence is required.
10.3 Right to Freeze or Hold Funds
We reserve the right to freeze or hold funds pending the completion of identity verification or due diligence checks. Funds held in this manner will not be processed until verification is satisfactorily completed. If verification cannot be completed, the funds may be returned to the original payment method or reported to the relevant authority, as appropriate.
10.4 Ongoing Monitoring
We may conduct ongoing monitoring of transactions associated with your account. Where we identify unusual or high-risk activity, we may carry out additional checks, request further information, or take other steps in accordance with our AML and CTF obligations.
11. Prohibited Uses
You must not use the WHAid platform for any of the following purposes:

You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts for the purpose of resolving any such disputes.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
